“Jin Shin Do” means “The Way of the Compassionate Spirit.” Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure® uses gentle yet deep finger pressure on specific acu-points and verbal Body Focusing techniques, to help release “armoring” or chronic tension, balance the “Qi” or energy, and improve vitality. This clothes-on method helps relieve stress- and trauma- related problems. Originated by psychotherapist Iona Marsaa Teeguarden, JSD promotes a pleasant trancelike state, in which one can relax and move out of the head and into the body, accessing feelings and inner wisdom.

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of the cerebrospinal fluid that surrounds and protects the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch generally no greater than the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.

A Reiki session involves the use of hands without touching as the primary deliverer of life energy or Ki. The energy is delivered to the body’s energy centers or chakras. A person receiving Reiki is fully clothed and invited to relax. As blockages and releasing are occurring, individuals may experience insights to issues in their lives. Being open to the energies of Reiki is a life changing event and can lead to more understanding of the true self.

Stefanie Butler – Atlanta Sound Healing
Stefanie uses Tibetan Singing Bowls and voice to create a healing space for her clients. Everything is vibrational and when we are “out of tune”, the bowls can assist us in returning to balance, shifting energetic blocks and balancing our chakras. The bowls have the ability to put us into alpha or theta brainwave states that let us access a quiet, peaceful state of mind which has a powerful healing effect on our bodies, mind and spirit. Connect with Stefanie at and Atlanta Sound Healing on Facebook.

Alchemy ~ by Dana Sheridan

The cycle has begun
my opposites – becoming one…
in the fire of transmutation
i hold within, my creation

quiet and near,
i hold it dear…

letting the dross burn away…
trusting i’ll see a better day
i climb to the depths of my deepest cave
as i surrender and ride the wave…

i can only laugh
at this crazy path…

what can i gather? what can i savor?
what can i hold deep and true?
what can i birth to create more beauty?
what is the vision that i can bring thru?

i hold in my heart
a dream of great worth…
im holding the vision
of Heaven on Earth

within and without
above and below…
i’m dreaming it in…
and so it is so!

Gaia reminds us that we all belong. She embraces our fierceness, our shadows, our teeth, our bones, our blood, every cell, every heartbeat. She is the womb from we emerge and return. There is no ejection or rejection of our flesh or our being. No matter how alone we may have told ourselves we are, we ALWAYS belong to her.

May 2nd: Freeing the Natural Voice & Exploring Sacred Space and Sound

Join us for this empowering, two part playshop led by internationally renowned music therapist, sound healer and author, Susan Elizabeth Hale MA. Susan is a pioneer in the field of music therapy and an aficionado of musical styles from all over the world. She has journeyed across the planet and devoted 10 years of research to deliver her latest book: Sacred Space, Sacred Sound: The Acoustic Mysteries of Holy Places. A seminar leader, teacher and coach, Susan continues to help people explore their sacred paths and find and free the natural voice.

Part One
1:00p – 5:00p
When We Free Our Voice We Free Ourselves!
The first part of this liberating playshop opens up individual vocal expression. For those of us who have been told to remain silent, it is an avenue of self permission. For those of us who tell ourselves we can’t sing, it provides an opportunity to consider otherwise. For those who love to sing it creates greater openness and freedom. It is vital for us to speak our truths and to express ourselves authentically. Let us create a greater sense of freedom and allow our voices to be heard!

In a safe and supportive environment, we will utilize:
♥ toning
♥ improvisation
♥ movement
♥ playful sound exploration
Thus discovering and freeing the natural voice

We will complete this part of the playshop relaxed and energized with:
♥ simple, easy techniques to open and free the voice!
♥ understanding of how to use sound and song for healing!
♥ Increased confidence to sing and speak our truth!

Join us for a homecooked meal of cob oven pizza, fresh salad and iced tea for $12, bring your own, or go out to one of the many fabulous area restaurants. There are multiple outdoor seating options on site. Medlock Park and a beautiful boardwalk leading through the woods for your enjoyment are within walking distance.

Part Two
We are sound beings. Ancient people recognized the importance of sound and sought out resonant caves to perform rituals. Later temples and churches were built to enhance sound and music for the purpose of expanding consciousness. We will explore the Acoustic Mysteries of Holy Places by experiencing songs, stories and images of the sacred including the:
♥ Egyptian pyramids
♥ Cave of Lascaux
♥ Michael and Mary lines in Britain

Through vowel sounds, we will discover the sacred architecture of our bodies, and the harmonic hum and power of our voices. Hear the call to give your gifts to the world! Become the Harmony!

Participant Fee for this unique and rare playshop:
♥ Parts One and Two $80.00 ($70.00 each with a friend)
♥ Part One Only $60.00 ($50.00 each with a friend)

co-hosted by Tamara Albright and Maurice LeCroy
Community 2.0 Center, on South Fork Peachtree Creek

Atlanta Earth Day: Sing for the Trees

Image and sculpture by Bruno Torfs

First, thanks to YOU for checking this out, to Maurice LeCroyThe Human Community, the Plant Community: One Community, Present to Exquisite Relatedness, by 2021, for co-creating the event, and to the Australian sculptor, Bruno Torfs, for the image of his art. Springing from the heart of Susan Elizabeth Hale, EARTH DAY- SING FOR THE TREES is a global initiative to pause at Noon, April 22, and sing to the trees. Also at source: Earth Mother/Gaia/BlackMadonna, who finds humor in our naming of her, and who, in all seriousness, calls us to come together, in a moment of time, in acknowledgment and appreciation of plant life for so sustaining us. THIS WE CAN DO.

11:00 AM:
Sign In – Tea and Crumpets

11:45 AM:
Preparation and setting the tone with Tom Blue Wolf

SING FOR the TREES facilitated by Tom Blue Wolf: The South East was the apothecary of Native America; The Muskogee Creek were the pharmacists. Part of their intimate knowing of plants was their songs. Taught by his grandfather, who knew hundreds of these songs, Tom will lead us ceremonially into the song of the Willow Tree. We will gather together to chant/sing/croon/tune ourselves to the vibrational level for communicating a resonate “tone” with the tree people. This “tone” will be consistent with the creation story of our mutual interdependence with the tree people. Bring a sacred object for the community altar.

* Merrill, Mayan Time Keeper, identifier of community, will be showing us our place in the circle
* Cob oven-ing with local chefs: Bring roast-ables, bake-ables, dough and sauce and pizza makings.
* Story Teller Yolanda Hernandez: “The Gifting Tree”
* Individual and community art with Camron Wiltshire and Maurice LeCroy: Easy and fun. Bring brushes & supplies. (some provided)
* Recycling bazaar: Bring cherished objects to pass along.
* Hike: out of the backyard, along the creek, and into the forest. Get lost, but not for long.
* Music, song, and dance jams: Bring instruments and join in, or just savour.

POT LUCK SUPPER: Bring beverage and a covered dish (preferably organic)

Gratitude/Ghandarva Ceremony facilitated by Tamara Albright: Acknowledgment and Heart Opening. Bring a sacred object for the community altar.

* Creek side bonfire: Bring story, poetry, song, prayer and camp chair to share
* Music and dance with Atlanta’s Trance Dancers, Nia and Five Rhythms Community

11:00 PM:
Lights out in suburbia!
